This weekend I was feeling a little crafty especially after eating so much turkey and dressing for Thanksgiving. I needed to do something to take my mind off of the Thanksgiving’s leftovers, so putting up my Christmas decorations were the perfect fix. I had already started a little Christmas decorating in my formal areas, but got sidetracked with all of the Thanksgiving preparations. So instead of getting lost in all the hustle and bustle of Black Friday shoppers, I decided to work on finishing my Christmas decorating.
I had been on the hunt for something unique and exquisite to add on each side of my new accent table in my formal dining room. I started the search way back in October because I had already envisioned the look I was going for this holiday season. I knew it had to be tall and slender but not too overbearing because it could not be in competition with my starburst mirror gallery. So I searched high and searched low but could not find exactly what I was looking for. Then that is when I decided to make what I had envisioned in my mind, and off to Hobby Lobby and the Dollar Tree I headed with this vision in my mind.
And this is what I came back home with and started with what I called MY ingenious design…that is until I was looking through Pinterest and saw something similar…oh well, I guess ingenious minds think alike…LOL! But anyway, it is ingenious to me because the color scheme, the choice of the decorative ornament balls, and the candlestick holder are all my creative thoughts…LOL!
As you can see I had my work cut out for me but it was all well worth it when you see the final result and how they looked on the my new accent table.
