Some nice tips and advice. Decorating the mantle and the fireplace should be lots of fun but sometimes it can be a bit stressful. Do you think there is equal weight between the decorating and the style and choice of the fireplace? Hello Paige and thanks for visiting my blog. Yes and no, to your question. Yes, when you are trying to create a specific design style within a space. No, when you are wanting to create a juxtaposition of styles in a space or the design is budget-driven (having to design around with what’s already there). Yes, I love the idea of placing a mirror over a fireplace but only when it is reflecting something of visual interest….especially if it is a large mirror.
